Boo.....scared ya

So, this is what my daughter and I do to each other......we scare the snot out of each other but this time I got her good.
While she was out playing in the backyard, I got all camo'd up and went out the front door. I hopped the neighbour's fence adjoining our fence and crawled out right in plain view only the little fart still couldn't see me. When she got close enough to the fence though, I jumped up and hopped the fence in one fell swoop and jumped right on her........what a scream, music to my ears......Gotchya!! And I thought my SWAT days were behind me heh heh. I must say, my daughter was highly impressed with my digs and how I snuck up on her....now I have to sleep with one eye open.
Training is not going as I would like. Physically, all is good but on the ice is not. With the delay in getting my skates, a nagging pulled groined which has worsened due to hockey, the outdoor oval at Brewers Park melted, and the Calgary oval ice coming out at the end of this month, I am not getting the on ice exposure that I wanted this year. I will have to contact the guys at the Minto rink to see if I can get some early morning ice as I did with skeleton. It's not 400 metres but at least I can practice starts and technique.
To top it off, I am sick as a dog which rarely happens but when it does.....I am not a happy person.
Well, I am gonna lock myself downstairs and watch a couple of movies and see how much I can milk this cold heh heh. Can I get a pillow, can I get a blanket, can I have snack, can I get my flip flops, can I have a drink........heh heh.
