The final race...and reality of it all....
I just got back from the Bobbahn and the race went as expected. The guys who qualified really deserve it and they worked hard for it....I am proud of my Irish friend Dave, aka Mr. Canole, and my South African friend Tyler, they will surprise in the Olympics.
I will now head into the shower, nice and hot, and I will shave, get all prim and proper, and look all dashing for my wife whom I will pick up in Munich tomorrow and spend the day before returning to the life I know.
The journey has been awesome, and once I collect all my thoughts, I will share them.
Beautiful Konigssee, see you maybe another time.....
Pics: what can I say???......this is what kept me going........

Hey buddy. I'm proud of you man, keep your head up (if you can muster the strength). You are a better man for the challenge and an inspiration to many (even if they don't want to admit it).
It will be good to see you back at work...minus the spandex of course!!

Not only did you succeed in your pursuit to represent Greece, it was honorable. Your example to everyone around you, to live your dreams and not look back wondering "what if"....
You took us through an adventure a season of your life and enriched us all. Forty years from now I will remember..... Demetrios "Dee" Stefanopoulos and how he lit the way for the rest of us to follow. Our stories and seasons are different but we are encouraged by your great courage to pursue a "dream".....that if we dare dream .....to Dream Big in this short down hill ride the beautiful thing called life. Thanks Dee.
Your Ol Friend,

Most people sit back in the airchair of life and say "I could do that, if I tried..." But, they never get their butt out of the armchair, they just sit around and complain about how "lucky" the person who does is, how they get all the "breaks"...
Not only did you get out of the armchair, but you gave it a good hard kick and sent it spinning.
Congrats, you did awesome.

Dee - your pursuit of a dream was & is inspirational. Thanks for sharing it with me. The only challenge you now face is deciding what your next big challenge will be! Good luck.
