Well, well, well......
You guys still here?? Well for those of you still around....a little news. I may be done with skeleton but now, I figured I have been on skates all my life playing hockey, I figured......how hard can speed skating be ....right??
WRONG....I tried long track speed skating for the first time yesterday in Calgary and holy smack batman...it is definately not as easy as it looks on TV.
After one hour, 3 face plants, and a nice bruise on my already not healed right elbow, that was enough for me......for this time. It's those long blades....if you get lazy and the tip comes down first, well, there's no warning or shakiness, you just go down fast and you get a first hand taste of the ice.
Anyways, I will give it a very fair chance and only after a few trys will I decide to go for it or not.
I have already figured out a schedule....2006 and 2007 just training, no competitions, 2008 train and compete, 2009 compete whole year and qualify for Greece for 2010 right in my own backyard...Vancouver Canada!!
I know that once I get the technique, I should be okay afterall, I was practically born with skates on my feet.
Of course, with my early memory loss, I forgot to bring a camera so no pics this time. If this continues, I'll have to modify this page abit or simply start a new blog for this new chapter.
Just remember one thing folks, (and this is the new motto....yes I have been giving this a lot of thought...) LIGHTNING ALWAYS STRIKES TWICE!!
Until the next face plant....

Hey Dee,
Glad to see you are still keeping the "Dream" going.
You gotta try......If you and I make the 2010 in our winter sport...that would be quite the reunion. Maybe even a movie about it.....TWO BIG DREAMERS!
With abilities to make dreams happen.
You still got it Dee, as long as the walls in Skeleton did not do too much damage. Speaking from experience.
I would just change the blog skeleton to speed skating 2010. Because it is about your journey that is what it is all about. It is about your family about Greece.....about LIVING the DREAM.
Say hello to your no#1 and #2 fans for me.
Take good care for now.
Your bro,
Tim Pierce
